Timothy J. Finan Named President and CEO Of Upper Allegheny Health System

The Board of Directors of Upper Allegheny Health System (UAHS), the parent company of Bradford Regional Medical Center and Olean General Hospital, has appointed Timothy J. Finan as President and Chief Executive Officer of UAHS and its member hospitals. 

Mr. Finan has been president and Chief Executive Officer at Olean General Hospital since January, 2006. Prior to his tenure at Olean General Hospital, Mr. Finan held a variety of healthcare leadership positions. He was President and CEO of Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center from 1991 until 1996 and Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer from 1996 until 2005 of Univera Healthcare, an HMO serving Western and Central New York. Mr. Finan was also President of the Health Services Group of The Lifetime Healthcare Companies, the successor organization of Univera Healthcare. 

Mr. Finan was raised in Allegany, N.Y. He received a Bachelor’s Degree from Hamilton College in Clinton, N.Y., and a Master’s Degree in Hospital Administration from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. Mr. Finan is a New York state-licensed nursing home administrator and a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives. 

Mr. Finan is a member of various professional organizations. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and a board member of the Western New York Healthcare Association and the Southern Tier Healthcare System. He is also a board member of numerous community groups including the Olean Area Chamber of Commerce, the Western New York March of Dimes and the United Way of Cattaraugus County. Mr. Finan also serves as a member of the St. Bonaventure University Board of Trustees.
